I know this firsthand. I’ve fought against a minimal self-esteem my whole life. My mom remarried my adopted dad who adored me and I adored him. However he suffered from self-esteem issues also, and he took it out on my Mother, my sister and me. We were called”dumb”,”dump””idiots” for the majority of my teenage years. As a kid, I suffered several days on the playground by being known as,”fat Matt”. Odds are you’ve had similar unfortunate encounters.
However, you have to overcome these cut downs and produce a positive self-esteem and self-image or achievement will always elude you. It is the confidence we rely on to keep on keepin’ on. Unfortunately, lots of individuals never actually master construction or rebuilding their self-esteem. Here are a few tips I have used which can let you get yours built back up.
1. It is not a curse… it is a blessing. Use the negative experiences you’ve faced as fuel to reconstruct your self-esteem. Reduce the blame, and don’t forget the times when you’re beat down as strong. Prove your doubters wrong, do not let them be proven right.
2. When you’re a master of something, it generates confidence. The important thing is to learn something, anything. Learn How to play with Billy Joel tunes on the piano. Get in tip top shape via exercising. Become a top notch cold caller on your sales career. Whatever demonstrates that you took the time to concentrate on it, skill up, and for that reason master it.

5. Help somebody else. It’s sad that all these men and women that are in a position to help if it is a mentor, a co-worker or maybe a parent, do not take more time to recognize self-esteem problems others. Be that individual, be the individual that helps.
